We care about where our materials come from….

When we’re sourcing our materials for making our creations, we do our best to always source with sustainability in mind.

All bones, antlers, and animal products used are natural death specimens and materials, meaning the animals died of natural causes or at the end of their life cycles. Many pieces are found on land around the USA and Canada. Bug specimens such as butterflies and beetles all come from local hatcheries, where they are hatched, live their entire lifespan, and then sold to crafters like us.

The crystals and gems we use come from mines all over the world, and we’ve worked hard to find mines that are small, ethically staffed, locally owned, and participate in land rehabilitation when mining in a certain area has finished.

Whenever possible, the metals we use to fabricate and cast our pieces are reclaimed and recycled. We use lots of vintage chains and components as well.
